Full Moon Shadow

May the light of the Full Moon penetrate deep into the cosmos, even in the darkest spots. 
Carl Jung gave voice to the shadow aspect of the human psyche.  As Pema Chodron explains: "We force ourselves to become actors playing a part because we don't want to admit to any negative elements. We suppress our unwholesome emotions, thereby creating the shadow.  We develop a shadow because we do not want to face up to the more disreputable parts of our psyche-we believe that we are only allowed to acknowledge the light."  By acknowledging all parts of ourselves without "embarrassment or harshness" we can begin to love ourselves and all who inhabit our world.  Perfectionism is not the truth of being human.  Let the light of this Full Moon awaken "who we are right now, and that's what we can make friends with and celebrate."
