There is a door

waiting to be opened

There is no lock

Only this fearful, judging mind

Over the door a sign

Welcome Wisdom

A teacher tears to shreds a map of the world, and thinking it an impossible task, gives it to a misbehaving student to put together. Within 10 minutes the child completed the task. Astounded the teacher asks how he/she did it?
"When I turned the pieces over I found a torn up person, I put the person together and when I looked at the other side the world was whole again."

Celebrate the Goddess: Imbolc

In ancient times the people celebrated and honored the turning of the wheel.  On February 2nd the people turned their thoughts and prayers to the Mid-Winter Holy Day Imbolc.  A time when the seeds within the Earth begin to stir while She Dreams of Spring.

Goddess festivals were very common and some are still celebrated today.
The triple Goddess Brigid (later transformed into St.Brigit) is a lovely energy to celebrate on Imbolc. The Goddess Brigids' eternal flame still burns in Kildare.
Create the conditions within your heart (and hearth) to welcome Her home.  Light candles through out your home; write a poem honoring a female ancestor and her gifts; reflect on the seeds that are stirring within you that are calling for expression.

Take a broad view

Grand Canyon
"Develop a mind so filled with love it resembles space." Buddha  Sitting on the meditation pillow you have the opportunity to open and create a space for your thoughts and experiences to float.  By taking a broad view of the stuff of life, the little annoyances at work that week, places where you really got caught up in the human drama, times when things didn't work out the way you wanted them to, etc. etc. allows for clarity of vision.  Letting go of the "small i", reminding yourself of the "big I' or Divine Consciousness.  My message to myself this week is to say "Don't know".  When sh-- happens just say "don't know".  This simple phrase I hope will remind me that nature is unfolding and to trust that process.

I recommend you take a listen to:www.mindpodnetwork.com

Awaken from sleep

Cupid The Met
Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive. I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.  I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts toward others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.
